Asyde is built so the sensitive things stay on your device and the page is read only when you ask. This is the plain-language version; the privacy policy is the formal one.
Asyde reads the content of the page you’re viewing — its text, and for email the open thread — only when you actively send a message in the panel. It doesn’t read pages in the background, and it never activates on sign-in screens, password fields, or pages where you haven’t opened the panel.
When you send a request, the relevant page content and your message go to the Asyde service, which forwards them to a language-model provider to generate the reply. The reply streams back to the panel. This happens only for the request you made, at the moment you make it.
Asyde does not store your page content or conversations on its servers, does not sell any data, and does not use your data for advertising or profiling.
These are stored locally in your browser and are removed when you uninstall the extension. There is no account — just an anonymous count of your free daily messages.
Built-in browser tools (saving media, screenshots, page-as-text, listing links) run entirely in your browser and send nothing to Asyde. When you add an HTTP tool or connect an MCP server, requests go directly to the endpoint you configured, and any token you enter stays on your device.
Asyde asks for access to the pages you visit so the panel can read the current page on request, and access to Gmail so it can help with email. These are used solely to provide the assistant on the page in front of you.
